Tracey Gallant Present 'A Night of Nancy' - A Celebration of Nancy Wilson

 —  —

Jazz Bistro, 251 Victoria Street, Toronto

Hello friends!

I am SO excited to bring to you 'A Night of Nancy' - A celebration of one of my all time favourite singers, the great, Nancy Wilson.

Nancy Wilson defied categorization and labels. She referred to herself as a ‘song stylist’, and indeed she was. With an incredible vocal range and with amazing versatility, Nancy sang it all from Jazz, Pop, RnB, Ballads, Broadway, and even country.

Just some of the songs you can expect to hear will include material from her recordings with Cannonball Adderley, '(You Don’t Know) How Glad I Am', (her first Grammy Award winner – 1965), the dramatic and theatrical 'The Greatest Performance of My Life', 'When Did You Leave Heaven', a song Nancy learned from one of her earliest and greatest influences, Little Jimmy Scott, and of course her signature song 'Guess Who I Saw Today'.

Joining me are some of the best musicians around!

Alan Cohen (piano) Ted Quinlan (guitar) Pat Collins (bass) Steve Heathcote (drums)

It's gonna be a great night!!

I hope to see YOU there!
